It is important in my way of addressing mental health that we be cautious about assigning diagnoses.   First, this is because you may simply wish to improve your quality of life or deal with a very normal life process/challenge.  Second, assigning an external label to what is happening  can often get in the way of  understanding yourself as an individual.  There can be value in some cases to specify a diagnosis, and I am experienced with such assessment.  Thus, if you have been given a diagnosis before or have "self-diagnosed," you may not find such words in the list below.  If you have questions about whether I can help in your situation, please simply give me a call and we'll discuss it.

Here are some areas of specialization that you may seek from me:

I highly value diversity and welcome clients from all cultures, backgrounds, and ways of life. My clients, as well as people in my social world, tell me that they experience me as always open and honoring of their uniqueness. It is important to note that I have particular interest and background in supporting those with diverse gender identities, sexual orientations, and romantic identities and lifestyles. I am knowledgeable and supportive of people of all genders, sexual orientation and romantic orientation.
